About MusoKit
MusoKit is a free, fast, no-signup toolbox of utilities for musicians — built to be the kind of site you actually keep open in a tab while you practice or write.
What it is
MusoKit collects nine of the most commonly searched-for music utilities into one consistent home: a drum machine, a metronome, a chromatic tuner, a chord finder, a scale explorer, an interactive circle of fifths, a tone generator, a transposition calculator, and a BPM-to-milliseconds delay calculator. All nine work in your browser, on any device, with no installs, no accounts, and no paywalls.
Why we built it
Every tool here already exists somewhere on the internet. The problem is that nearly every existing version comes wrapped in cluttered ads, slow page loads, signup walls, or interfaces that feel like they were last updated in 2009. We wanted a single home where you could go to do any of these small, common tasks — building a beat for a few minutes, finding the BPM of a song, looking up a tricky chord — without friction.
The whole site is intentionally minimal. The tool occupies the page. Below it, you'll find a short explainer and FAQs in case you're new to the topic. Below that, links to related tools and articles. Nothing more. No popovers. No newsletter prompts. No "log in to save your work" — all your work saves automatically to your browser.
Privacy and how it works
Everything happens in your browser. The drum machine and metronome generate their sounds in real time using the Web Audio API; the tuner processes microphone input locally and never uploads anything; the chord finder, scale explorer, and circle of fifths run entirely as static HTML and JavaScript. We don't track you, don't run third-party analytics that follow you across sites, and don't sell anything. Read the full privacy policy →
How it stays free
The site is supported by display advertising (eventually) and the occasional affiliate link to music gear we recommend. We won't introduce ads above the tool itself, and we won't run interstitials that block the page. Any affiliate links will be marked clearly. Read the terms of use →
Who's behind it
MusoKit is built by Alon Peretz — a working musician who got tired of bouncing between five different ad-heavy single-purpose tools every time he wanted to do something simple. If you'd like to suggest a feature, report a bug, or just say hello, the contact page has details.
